The only monographic book, to date, on an Arts & Crafts artist of both Illinois and California, NELL BROOKER MAYHEW: Paintings on Paper offers 55 color plates of the artist's patented "color etchings," with a few oil paintings added for context. Mayhew patented a form of monoprinting where she made a monotype to add color over an already printed etching. The book includes biography, summary of influences, chronlogy, collections list, exhibition history, list of exhibited works, bibliography, and index.
